Jishnu Sen elevated to COO at Grey India

Grey India has announced the promotion of Jishnu Sen to Chief Operating Officer. As COO, Sen, who takes charge of his new role with immediate effect, will be in charge of the strategic and operational leadership of the agency’s business. He will report to Nirvik Singh, Chairman, Grey Group Asia Pacific.

Commenting on the development, Singh said, “Jishnu, who joined us two years ago, has been at the helm of the Mumbai operations. Under his leadership, the office has seen tremendous growth in revenue and talent and has handled clients like Audi, P&G, Bharti Axa, Suzlon, Ambuja, Parle Products, ITC, and IndianOil, to name a few. As a passionate communication professional, he has worked towards an environment that focuses on brands holistically. I have no doubt that his multi-cultural experience across the globe will enrich the Grey India environment.”

When asked about who would fill in Sen’s shoes, a Grey official said that a replacement would be announced soon and that it would be an internal elevation.

Commenting on his new role, Sen said, “The opportunity to lead Grey India is an exciting point of my professional career. I look forward to partnering with the team in creating powerful brand ideas grounded in consumer understanding that has a single minded objective – to help our clients win in the marketplace. I will continue to champion the cause of an integrated brand approach involving above and below the line communication mediums like digital, activation, events, retail and public relations.”

Prior to Grey, Sen had held various positions with JWT and Y&R across India, Singapore, Hong King and the US. He had held portfolios that panned brand strategies and implementation across the Asia Pacific and the US.
