Janmat appoints Subramanian Iyer as Senior Vice President

Janmat, the news and current affairs channel from Shree Adhikari Brothers Television Network (SABTN), has filled the slot left vacant following the exit of Kanta Advani from the company’s sales function. The channel has appointed Subramanian Iyer as Senior Vice President. Iyer takes charge from February 15, 2006 and would report to Markand Adhikari, VC and MD, SABTN.

Iyer, who brings with him 14 years of television experience to the channel, is looking forward to the assignment. “The Adhikari Brothers are known to create quality content – right from the DD days to SAB TV, and there is some great work they have put in place for Janmat as well,” Iyer said.

He added, “News as a genre is picking up and Janmat brings its own USP in the domain, being more of a current affairs channel. From where I see it, there is a huge opportunity in the sales function of the channel and much that can be done. I am looking forward to my responsibility there.”

Prior to this Iyer was with Situations Advertising & Marketing Services Pvt Ltd as Group Head-Client Servicing. However, his stint there was just for a few months. His experiences before that have been with ETC Network as National Sales Head and B4U.
