ITV Network beefs up team with 2 senior hires

In order to consolidate its advertising sales and content operations, ITV Network has brought on board Arti Arora Machama as Vice President, Sales, and Rana Yashwant as Group Managing Editor, India News.

Machama will handle advertising sales for ITV and will report to RK Arora, CEO, ITV Network. Yashwant will look after national and regional news. He will take charge from January 14, 2013. Prior to this, he was working with Mahuaa News as Group Editorial Head.

On joining ITV, Machama said, “ITV has vision and the company is moving towards a focussed approach and I am looking forward to work with them.”

Prior to this, Machama was working with BAG Network as Sales Head, North, where she was handling the advertising options of the channels – News24 and E24. She had joined BAG Network in August 2011 and had worked there for one and a half years.

Commenting on Machama’s appointment, RK Arora said, “We are thrilled to have Arti aboard. In the wake of digitisation and various changes within our organisational structure, we are sure that Arti will add immense value, considering her strong leadership skills and extensive experience. We wish her the best for this new challenge.”

With more than 14 years of experience in the media industry, Machama is an expert in advertising sales and corporate marketing. She started her career with India Databases as Manager Sales and then moved to Hathway Cable and Datacom as Assistant Manager, Marketing. After spending one and a half years with Hathway, she joined Indian Express as Assistant Manager. She also worked with STAR India as Assistant Manager and Zee News as Associate Vice President, Advertising Sales before joining BAG Network.
