It's official: Sunil Lulla joins Grey Group India as Chairman & MD

Grey Group today announced the appointment of Sunil Lulla as Chairman & Managing Director for India. He will report to Nirvik Singh, Chairman & CEO of Grey Group Asia Pacific.

Lulla joins Grey Group from Bennett Coleman & Co, where he was President, Corporate Development. Prior to that, he was Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Times Television Network. Lulla is a 30-year media and communication veteran with proven expertise in building stellar brands and creating enduring, successful businesses. His experience spans across communication, media, consumer goods and the digital space, as well as across geographies of India, Taiwan and China with companies, including JWT, MTV, Diageo, Sony and The Times Group.

On his joining Grey Group India, Lulla said, “The creative and communication landscape in India is undergoing a huge transformation now and there’s no better time for me to join Grey Group, which has been doing wonderful work for leading brands in India and across the world. I look forward to working closely with the team to elevate Grey Group’s standing in a key market.”

Meanwhile, Jishnu Sen, out-going Chief Executive Officer for Grey Group India, is leaving the network for personal reasons. He commented, “Grey Group has been great to me and I am truly happy to have worked with some of the best people in the industry. We had a great run together. It is time for me now to move on to different and more exciting challenges. I wish the Grey family all the very best and I am sure they will continue to grow to greater success.”

Commenting on the development, Nirvik Singh said, “I would like to thank Jishnu for all the great work he has done for us in India. He has come a long way with us and I am sure whatever he does next, he will be just as successful as his tenure with Grey Group. In Sunil Lulla, I see a proven professional with extensive experience who is a visionary. He will be the keystone to our growth strategy in India as we build a stronger network to provide truly holistic communication solutions to our clients.”

Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
