Intex India appoints Vinayak Kumar Lal as Marketing Head

Vinayak Kumar Lal has been roped in as Head of Marketing at Intex Technologies (India) Ltd, manufacturer of mobile phones, IT hardware and electronics.

Confirming Lal’s appointment, Ramesh A Vaswani, Executive Vice Chairman, Intex Technologies, said, “We are glad to have Vinayak on board. He comes with relevant experience in building brands in the highly competitive pharma and food sectors. With his holistic aptitude, we expect him to propel brand Intex in the desired direction.”

Prior to his new appointment, Lal was with Devyani Foods Industries Pvt Ltd, (which has Cream Bell ice cream as its flagship brand), where he was General Manager, Marketing.

On his new role, he said, “Intex is perhaps the only company in India offering such a wide range of IT, mobility and electronics products under one brand through its own sales and service network. The brand is under transition. The real customer connect has just begun and I am excited to spearhead the brand at this point of time. Undoubtedly, it’s going to be a challenging task and a great learning opportunity.”

At Intex, Lal will be responsible for the entire gamut of marketing and communication activities for all product/ business verticals of the company – IT hardware peripherals, mobile phones, PC, consumer electronics, retail, enterprise and international business.

Lal has over 14 years of experience handling reputed brands such as Cream Bell ice cream, Disney Ice Cream, Dr Morepen, Typhoo Tea, Originale Foods, and Bal Chyawanprash, to name a few.
