Innocean beefs up creative team; Devendra Mehta, Trideep Saha, Kavita Ojha come on board

Close on the heels of an enhanced role for its anchor client Hyundai Motors and new business gains, Innocean is ramping up its human resources. The major thrust of the new recruitments is in the creative department.

Joining Innocean later in June would be Devendra Mehta as Senior Creative Director. His previous assignment was with Dentsu as Creative Director. Mehta had earlier worked with Lowe, Mudra, Grey and Rediffusion in a career spanning 14 years.

“I see in Innocean an opportunity to do some trail-blazing work in the category of cars, which is on the boil these days with a bunch of good team-players,” Mehta said.

Strengthening the team further is Kavita Ojha, who moves from Euro-RSCG, and Trideep Saha, who moves from Kaaps, an agency specialising in B2B communication. Both are joining as Art Group Heads.

Commenting on the new appointments, Saurabh Dasgupta, Senior Creative Director, Innocean, said, “We see ourselves setting a scorching pace on the quality front and the advent of accomplished colleagues will help us achieve our goals with ease. We have challenges ahead of us, but at the same time, we have a vision and an actionable plan in place.”

Vivek Srivastava, Joint MD, Innocean Worldwide, said, “Our hiring strategy is in sync with our business plans. I welcome Dev, Kavita and Trideep on board at a very exciting phase in our team’s life-cycle. We want our creative work and strategic ideas to stand testimony to our capabilities. All of us see a lot more momentum moving forward.”

Alongside the agency is shoring up the personnel in account management and strategic planning functions as well. “Expect some more big news from us in a while,” Srivastava added.

Innocean Worldwide in its third year of operations and has today capitalised a billing base of Rs 150-160 crore and has ambitious growth plans.
