India Today’s Ravi Shankar joins Triveni Media as Managing Editor, Lifestyle

Ravi Shankar, former Managing Editor of India Today, has joined Triveni Media as Managing Editor, Lifestyle. He will be reporting to Rahul Kulshreshtha, CEO, Triveni Media, a subsidiary of Triveni Group, which is into infrastructure and real estate projects. The group is planning to come up with satellite channels soon.

Shankar was associated with India Today for the last 14 years in diverse roles such as Art Director, Deputy Editor and Senior Editor. He is also a well-known political cartoonist and graphic artist. Shankar was also the Editor of India Today Spice and Today, the afternoon tabloid of the Group.

This apart, Shankar was also associated with Indian Express for some time.

Commenting on Shankar’s appointment, Kulshreshtha said, “Ravi Shankar is a great team man and it is great to have him with us. We look up to him for managing the lifestyle section.”

Shankar has also been associated with writing and is known for his collection of short stories that has been published in India. He has also written the novels ‘The Tiger by the River’, his debut novel, and ‘The Village of Widows’.
