Close on the heels of Ajay Chandwani’s induction as Member of the Board of PerceptH, Prabhakar Mundkur has been elevated to the post of Chief Executive Officer of PerceptH with immediate effect. Mundkur has been with PerceptH for over three years. In the 25 years that he has spent in advertising, Mundkur has handled practically every category.

Commenting on the development, Harindra Singh, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Percept Ltd, said, “Prabhakar has been the backbone of PerceptH’s success in the past few years. Prabhakar’s hands on approach will ensure an even more focused and process-driven way of working at PerceptH. I am sure that under his able leadership, PerceptH will continue to scale greater heights.”

Reacting to his elevation, Mundkur said, “I am honoured to be leading the flagship advertising company of Percept. I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the best clients that one could wish for at Percept – both locally and globally – and we will continue to provide excellent work for our clients. Our aim will be to imbibe an integrated culture of creative and strategy within the team to ensure more satisfied clients.”

During his career, Mundkur’s portfolio of clients handled included FMCG majors like Unilever, Kellogg’s, Lipton, and Frito-Lay; automotive brands like Ford, Toyota and Fiat; service brands like Citibank, Air France, Kenyan Airlines and Air India; lifestyle brands like Nike; and durables like Philips.

He has spent seven years overseas in East Africa, South Africa, and China. Mundkur has worked in senior planning positions and has handled large accounts regionally, besides heading agency offices. He has also conducted several training programmes in markets all over the Asia-Pacific.
