Idiom expands operations in India, appoints Shantanu Saha as CEO

Idiom design and consulting, a holistic design solutions provider, has chalked out aggressive growth plans in India and has appointed Shantanu Saha as Chief Executive Officer. This move comes in the wake of the company’s plans to drive growth in the Indian market and consolidate its position as the leading design consulting practice in India.

Elaborating on the expansion plans, Jacob Mathew, Director, Idiom, said, “We are excited about our presence in the Capital and we are sure that our team will ensure that we capitalise on this. Idiom is currently in the process of building its management team in India. We see tremendous opportunities and India has immense potential to take our business to the next level. We will ensure that we continue on this growth trajectory and align ourselves with market requirements to meet the challenges and opportunities in the coming years.”

Idiom started as an experiment in April 2005, and mentored by Kishore Biyani, MD, Pantaloon India, two distinct design firms – Esign and Tessaract – merged to form a common identity called Idiom. Today Idiom design and consulting is a leading holistic design solutions provider that helps organisations achieve the right and desired brand experience across the myriad consumer touch points.

Shantanu Saha is a PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He is a sales and marketing professional with 19 years of experience in sales and distribution, marketing, customer service, retail, start-ups and expansions and general management assignments. He has worked with Godrej Soaps, Pepsi, SIEL-Honda and Titan, Schweppes (Russia) and Metro Cash and Carry.

He will be responsible for growing the company, setting in systems and processes and recruiting a team to ready Idiom for the next phase of growth. High on his agenda is the acquiring of new businesses in related domains that synergise with Idiom’s mission to take on the design leadership role in India and create an Indian idiom of design.

Recently, Viren Razdan had joined Idiom and as a Managing Partner. He is responsible for growing the business design practice of Idiom in the North and West and aid Idiom in consolidating its position as the leading design consulting practice in India.
