Hungama beefs up senior management with three key appointments

Hungama has made three key senior appointments to strengthen its business operations in South Asia. The digital entertainment company has appointed Anand Jhingan as Senior VP, International Mobile, and Hemant Jain as Senior VP, Domestic Business, of Hungama Mobile. Manan Chhatrapati is the new Chief Technology Officer.

Commenting on the appointments, Neeraj Roy, MD & CEO, Hungama, said, “I am delighted to welcome all of them to their new positions in Hungama. Anand, Hemant and Manan have various skill sets and varied experience in their fields, and I am confident that they will take the company to the next level with their expertise.”

Jhingan would handle the entire operation of Hungama Mobile’s International Business. He has 13 years of business development and client-facing consulting experience across national and international markets. His skill sets span across sales, design and delivery of solutions. Jhingan has worked primarily with Fortune 500 companies such as, IBM, JP Morgan Chase, Sun Microsystems, Citigroup,, Fujitsu in USA, and Aptech Ltd in Mumbai.

Jain takes charge of Hungama Mobile’s Domestic Business. He has over 14 years of diverse experience and knowledge in sales, marketing, strategic planning and business management functions with leading organisations across a variety of industry verticals which include media (Internet, mobile, radio and print), retail (broadband services) and telecom (VSAT). He has worked with well-known companies such as HCL Comnet, Indian Express, Euro RSCG, Mudra Communications, Reliance World (formerly Reliance Web World), and Radio City.

As Chief Technology Officer, Chhatrapati would be responsible for creating and executing technology roadmap for Hungama’s digital and mobile business. He would also monitor the creative, technical and business development team. With 25 years’ experience in the domestic and international software industry, Chhatrapati began his career with AT&T Bell Laboratories in the US, and also worked as the MD of Cider Computer (a franchisee of Aptech Ltd), and PIE Computer & Investments Pvt Ltd.
