In a bid to leverage the many changes in the media landscape in the country, and to place the organisation on leadership tracks, HT Media Ltd is strengthening and restructuring its media marketing team. As part of this process, Rajeev Beotra, Vice President - Media Marketing, will now be spearheading the media sales function as Business Head – Media Marketing.
Beotra will be reporting to Benoy Roychowdhury, Executive Director, HT Media. With this change, all key Media Marketing Managers – Amitava Guha, Manjeet Narwan, Rakesh Shah and Mitesh Desai – will now report to Beotra. Similarly, Media Marketing Heads for all business, editions and regions – Hindi (Rajesh Sokhal), Mumbai and South (Anand Vaidyanathan, Gurmeet Singh, Ahijit Dutta and Shankar Subramanium) and others will now have functional reporting to Beotra.
Beotra had joined HT Media in 2005, bringing with him rich corporate experience spanning companies like Asian Paints Co, Coke, Whirlpool and Avon. Over the past years, he has been instrumental in developing the Media Marketing organisation and building up Media Sales revenue through sustainable sales and marketing initiatives. He also rolled out several innovative media marketing initiatives, some of which have been trend setters in the industry. Most recently, he led a major revamp of the Media Marketing Organisation in Mumbai, efforts of which are already showing early positive trends.
Meanwhile, even as the organisation continues to move ahead in strengthening its core, it is also taking firm steps in some new business domains of interest. To lead one such initiative, Anand Ramabhadran moves in to take on the role of Business Head - Education. In addition, he will support other new initiatives – Media Services and Hyper Local newspapers. Ramabhadran has been a key senior leader, who has to his credit a versatile portfolio of leadership roles in the past years spanning business, strategy and media sales.
