Samil Malhotra has joined Business Standard as Vice President for its magazine division that includes products like ‘Strategist’, monthly publications ‘BS Motoring’ and ‘Indian Management’, and quarterly publication ‘Asian Management Review’. Malhotra will be reporting to Akila Urankar, President, Business Standard.
Commenting on his new appointment, Malhotra said, “I am excited to work with a multi-layout publication and at the same time also looking forward to their product enhancement offerings.”
Malhotra has nearly 22 years’ experience and has worked with organisations like STAR TV, Discovery Channel, The Times of India and even the Indian Army. Prior to joining Business Standard, he was with HT Media Ltd as Vice President, where he was responsible for the circulation of Mint newspaper and was involved in planning at the strategy level for advertising sales.
Malhotra did his graduation from Kirorimal College, Delhi University and PG Diploma in Marketing from Times School of Marketing.
