Harjeet Chabbra, former General Manager, Marketing at WWM, has joined SAB channel as Assistant Vice-President, Marketing, from July 10. He will be reporting to Anuj Kapoor, Senior Vice-President and Business Head, SAB.
Commenting on his new assignment, Chabbra said, “My role would be to look after the marketing aspects of the channel, and the marketing mantra is always to have the brand going. And now, since I am associated with the channel in the GEC space, it will be the mantra for the shows as well as the channel.”
He further said, “My responsibilities would involve re-positioning of the channel with forthcoming campaigns and new shows. The aim is to bring in more and more new viewers to the channel. It is all about differentiating the brand in a clutter-breaking way in this market.”
At WWM, Chabbra was handling magazines like Filmfare and Femina. He has nine years’ experience, of which he spent two years with WWM, the BCCL-BBC joint venture for magazines. Prior to this stint, he was with Tata Indicom as Product Head for their out-of-home Internet access.
