Gulraj Bhatia of NIIT to join HP as Consumer Marketing Head

Gulraj Bhatia, Senior Vice-president, Marketing, NIIT, has put in his papers. He is moving to HP India Pvt Ltd as Country Manager, Consumer Segment Marketing. He is joining HP on Tuesday, December 21, according to informed sources.

Bhatia will report to Ravi Aggarwal, Director, Imaging & Printing Group, HP. He will be responsible for marketing of all consumer products including PCs, notebooks, printers, handhelds, customer solutions, etc.

A Bachelor of Engineering and an alumnus of IIM-Kolkata, Bhatia has been with NIIT for the last four years. He was heading marketing of NIIT’s India Education Business. Prior to that he had a 15-year stint with Cadbury’s in various marketing and sales functions.

Meanwhile, Surya Soni, Manager, Media and Market Research, NIIT, has also put in his papers, according to reliable sources. Soni has been with NIIT for the past two and a half years. Prior to that he was with McCann for a about 18 months. He began his career with HTA Media (now Mindshare) where he spent three years before moving to Madison for a short six-month stint.
