SureWaves, a new generation media convergence company, has made two key appointments. While Sanchit Sanga has joined as AVP-Business Solutions, Shashank Gawade has been appointed as Group Business Manager. Both come in from GroupM, and would report to VP Tushar Vyas at SureWaves.
Sanga was earlier National Director at GroupM Interactions, the digital media planning and buying arm of GroupM India. In his new role at SureWaves, he will be a part of the team developing a business solutions vertical. In his five-year stint with GroupM, he started the Delhi office of GroupM’s digital unit, and worked on digital media strategies for many lead brands, including the hugely successful ‘Incredible India’ campaign for the Ministry of Tourism. Sanga had also started the search practice at GroupM, and was National Head of the agency’s Search business. Prior to GroupM, he was with Intercept Consulting as Regional Manager.
Gawade, too, comes in from GroupM, where he was Business Director at the agency’s Dialect division, handling strategic solutions in retail, trade, cinema and micro marketing. In his new role at SureWaves, Gawade will focus on developing Affiliate Partnerships with out-of-home (OOH) players and retail companies. Prior to GroupM, he was with Business World in Advertising Sales.
Commenting on the appointments, Vyas said, “Sanchit and Shashank will add great value to SureWaves. We truly have a convergence of different skill sets in SureWaves, and hope this can translate into cutting edge solutions for our clients.”
