Grey ropes in Brijesh Jacob as ECD for Mumbai operations

Grey, the global advertising arm of Grey Group, has announced the appointment of Brijesh Jacob as its Executive Creative Director in Mumbai. Jacob will work alongside Priti Nair, National Creative Director, Grey Worldwide, and will head the creative team in Mumbai. Prior to joining Grey, Jacob was with Lowe.

Commenting on Jacob’s appointment, Jishnu Sen, Senior Vice-President, Grey Group Mumbai, said, “Brijesh Jacob’s appointment is yet another step by Grey in building up a really strong creative team. Jacob is immensely talented, extremely hungry and a fun loving guy. He is a perfect partner that I needed for building Grey Mumbai into an exciting advertising destination.”

Nair said, “Like all good creative directors, Jacob’s cache of awards is impressive – metals at Asia Pac Adfest, Promax and Outdoor Awards and shortlists at Cannes. But the most important skills are his ability to lead, build teams, and come up with exciting solutions towards brand building.”

“Grey has been in the news of late and for the correct reasons, be it awards or brand building. The fact that Priti Nair has also joined as NCD encouraged me further to be a member of the Grey creative team. I am looking forward to the challenges and opportunities. I hope this would be an exciting journey together – as a team, a branch and as an agency,” said Jacob.

Prior to working with Lowe, Jacob, who has eight years’ experience in advertising, has had stints with Saatchi & Saatchi and Rediffusion DY&R. His portfolio of accounts includes well-known brands like Surf, LG Electronics, Lakme HairNext, Nestle Polo, Bilt Paper, Greenply, Carlsberg and Havells.
