It has been known for a while now that Grey Worldwide COO, Ashutosh Khanna, had put in his papers. The speculation on his next destination is finally over. After a stint of 12 years at Grey, Khanna is leaving the agency for a new address that takes him away from his advertising career. He is joining Korn/Ferry International as Partner in India from July 16, 2007.
Khanna will be based in Delhi. He will look after the Consumer, Media and Entertainment vertical at Korn/Ferry.
Khanna began his career as a buyer and has worked with O&M and Everest. At Everest, where he spent four years, he worked with clients such as TCL, Wipro and DuPont. He then shifted to Kolkata and joined Lintas, where he worked with brands such as ITC and ICI Paints.
Following this, he moved to Grey Worldwide, eventually becoming the Delhi Branch Head. He was promoted as COO of the agency in December 2003.
Korn/Ferry International, among the top three multinational placement agencies in the world providing executive search and leadership development solutions, set up its Indian operations in November 2004. It operates in 90 countries. Its coming to India reflects the need for a more sophisticated approach to human capital issues on the part of MNCs that are facing new challenges in terms of relocating talent and/or redefining roles for executives and other staff in India.
