Gilroy Ashley Tills, Senior Vice President & Head – National Impact, has put in his papers. National Impact handles the marketing and business development strategies of Radio Today Broadcasting Ltd, the radio arm of the India Today Group. Tills, who had Radio Today Broadcasting two years ago, is currently serving his notice period.
A reliable source in the media industry said that Tills would be starting a new venture, which would be in a differentiated space.
Tills was not available for comments at the time of filing this report.
A graduate from the Pune University and a MBA from Symbiosis, Tills began his career with an IT education firm. He later joined Xerox India and was handling Xerox’s Office Business Unit as National Marketing Manager. Subsequently, he joined Scholastic India as General Manager-India Operations, successfully handling the brand visibility and penetration of its core business – School Book Clubs and School Book Fairs. While with Scholastic Asia, Tills was selected to be trained by the Franklin Covey Institution, and he received Graduation Certification in 4 Roles of Leadership after completing ‘The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People’ programme by Steven Covey.
He then moved on to join Radio Mirchi as Associate Vice President for North India. He also had a short stint with Big FM prior to joining the radio arm of the India Today Group, where he played a pivotal role in creating the Meow FM brand.
