Taj TV India Pvt. Ltd, the parent company of Ten Sports, has elevated Gargi Kaul to Vice President-Advertising Sales. Kaul will lead Taj TV’s national sales team, which markets sports channels Ten Sports and Zee Sports. Her previous designation was Associate Vice President-Advertising Sales for Ten Sports.
Kaul has been an integral part of the channel’s advertising sales team in India since she joined the organisation in August 2003, and did an outstanding job on the India tours of Pakistan in 2004 and 2006, Sri Lanka and the West Indies.
Rukin Kizilbash, General Manager, Taj Television India, said, “I am very pleased to announce the promotion of Gargi Kaul to Vice President-Advertising Sales. She is the right person to take our national sales to the next level, particularly with the superb line-up of sports we have over the next 12 months.”
Kaul said, “I am very pleased to have been given this opportunity to lead the Taj TV sales team into the next phase of its growth, post Team India’s two Pakistan tours. As a team, we will continue to pursue and build our client base further with the excellent content Ten Sports and Zee Sports will broadcast in the years ahead.”
Prior to joining Taj TV, Kaul was with ESPN Star Sports in Delhi from 2000-2002, and then had a short stint with SET, managing its sales for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003.
