Former Businessworld Dy Editor joins Adfactors PR public affairs practice

Srikanth P Srinivas, former Deputy Editor of Businessworld, has joined Adfactors PR as Senior Vice-President, Public Affairs, responsible for policy research, programme development and strategic communications. Srinivas joining Adfactors PR is an important step in the firm’s efforts in strengthening its public affairs practice.

A banker-turned-journalist, Srinivas has a career spanning more than 30 years in editorial positions at several leading media institutions, including The Economic Times and the Business Today, before joining the World Bank at a senior role. He left the World Bank in 2007 and joined Businessworld in July of that year.

Commenting on Srinivas’ appointment, Madan Bahal, Co-founder and Managing Director, Adfactors PR said, “We are proud to have someone of Srinivas’ calibre and perspective joining us. Through 2014, we will develop the Public Affairs group into a strategic practice to cater to our large and diverse clientele – both Indian and multinational. Srinivas joining the firm will bolster our consulting capabilities in the Public Affairs and Advocacy Practice.”

Srinivas has had a wide exposure in public policy during his decade-long association with the World Bank. He served as a Consultant for the Europe and Central Asian region during 2006-07, and for International Policy and Partnerships Group during 2004-05. Prior to that, he was a Senior Corporate Strategy Officer, and Assistant to the President of the World Bank, James Wolfensohn.

On his new role, Srinivas commented, “I am excited about joining Adfactors at this juncture of my career. The Public Affairs practice will be a critical part of the Adfactors PR value proposition.
