Ford India VP-Marketing, Sales and Service Vinay Piparsania heads to Thailand

Close on the heels of Arvind Mathew taking over as Managing Director of Ford India (from August 1, 2005), another top-level change has been announced by the company. Vinay Piparsania, Vice-President, Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford India, is heading to Thailand on an international assignment.

Replacing him will be V Sivaramakrishnan, who was GM – Sales and Distribution Launch Leader.

The changes will take place with immediate effect.

According to a company statement, Sivaramakrishnan had played a pivotal role in the launch of the Ford Ikon, and subsequently, in strategically developing the distribution roadmap across the country. As Distribution Launch Leader, Sivaramakrishnan’s responsibilities included managing Ford India’s network preparedness and market readiness for new model launches.

Sivaramakrishnan had joined Ford India in 1996 as Brand Manager, and was General Manager, Marketing and Product Planning till July 1998. He then took charge as Product Marketing Manager for Ford Asia Pacific from June 2001 till August 2003, and was posted in the UK.
