After a gap of three months, Dentsu India is seeing a slew of exits from the agency again. Three people from its senior management have put in their papers. Sources have confirmed the news to exchange4media though no official information is forthcoming yet.
Chandana Agarwal, Senior Vice President, Dentsu Marcom, has called it quits at the agency after a stint of three years. She had joined Dentsu Marcom as Vice President and was promoted as Senior Vice President in May 2011. Agarwal was heading the Honda cars and two-wheeler business at Dentsu Marcom. High points of her stint at Dentsu include the ‘My City My Pride’ campaign, Auto Expo, repositioning for Honda Civic and making the imagery of brand Accord much younger. During this time, the 100 CC bike from Honda was also introduced. She has also worked with agencies like JWT and McCann, among others, in a career spanning 14 years.
Anirban Chaudhury, Senior Vice President - Strategic Planning, Dentsu Communication has also quit after a stint of two and a half years with the agency. With an experience of more than 16 years, he has held senior level positions at TNS India, IMRB International, and MAA Communication Bozell prior to joining Dentsu.
Vivek Shinde, Executive Creative Director, Dentsu Marcom, has also put in his papers after a six-year stint with the agency. He had joined the agency in 2006 and was heading the creative function at Dentsu Marcom Mumbai. Shinde had worked with agencies like Everest, Bates, Lintas and Cheil before joining Dentsu Marcom. He has worked on accounts like Raymonds, Honda and Vatika during his tenure at Dentsu.
Sanjoy Chakrabarty, COO, Dentsu Media had also resigned from the agency a few days ago and has joined ZenithOptimedia as Managing Partner.
The exits follow the recent change in the leadership structure at Dentsu India. Dentsu saw a slew of senior level exits in April too, after Dentsu Inc Japan bought the stake of Sandeep and Tanya Goyal owned Mogae Group. Old hands like Gullu Sen, Rajesh Aggarwal, Anwesh Bose, Ruchira Raina and Nitin Suri had quit the company immediately after the acquisition.
