Edward Henning joins 9.9 Media as Editor-in-Chief for ‘Digit’ and ‘Skoar’

9.9 Media has appointed Edward Henning as Editor-in-Chief for its publications ‘Digit’ and ‘Skoar’. With this appointment, Henning moves to Delhi from London, where he was Managing Editor for the UK website of the German company Heise Verlag, publisher of ‘c't’ magazine, Europe’s magazine for computer technology. He had managed the UK online business for Heise and had also been active in India for the last two years, helping plan and set up their operations in the country.

Henning has 24 years’ industry experience. His previous engagements include being the European Lab Director for PC Magazine (a Ziff Davis publication), as Technical Editor and Editor-at-Large for PC User Magazine in the UK and freelance work for other major technology publications. An expert in the area of testing and benchmarking, Henning has to his credit the design of several standard tests such as CPU Mark, which have been used by test labs around the world. He also introduced comparative usability testing to PC Magazine, the first such testing done by any computer title. Edward has been visiting India for work and pleasure for the last 32 years.

Commenting on Henning’s appointment, Asheesh Gupta, Co-Founder of 9.9 Media and Publishing Director of ‘Digit’ and ‘Skoar’, said, “We are lucky to have Edward lead our editorial team. His international experience, deep knowledge and passion will further enhance the quality of our publications in the personal technology domain and help bring new and exciting content to our readers.”

He furthr said, “We want to take ‘Digit’ and ‘Skoar’ to the next level, and Henning will help us editorially in taking these magazines to the next level.”

‘Digit’ is a monthly information technology magazine, while ‘Skoar’ is a magazine devoted exclusively to computer games.
