Durganath Swarnkar made additional Editor of Yojana’s Hindi edition

Monthly magazine ‘Yojana’, brought out by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and published in 13 languages, will now have senior journalist Durganath Swarnkar as an additional Editor for its Hindi edition. Remi Kumar is the other Editor for ‘Yojana’ Hindi.

With its headquarters at Yojana Bhawan in the National Capital, the magazine has Neeta Prasad as its Director and Chief Editor. The monthly publication is mostly targeted at people in SEC ‘C’ and ‘D’ in semi-urban areas in different regions and different languages.

‘Yojana’ is sponsored by the Indian Government and is an official venture, however, the magazine claims to be in no way restricted to expressing Government views alone. The publication is known to give different shades of opinions and views on any issue, thereby presenting a balanced picture.

‘Yojana’, which is devoted to socio-economic issues, started its publication way back in 1957 with veteran journalist Khushwant Singh as its Chief Editor. The magazine is now published in 13 languages – English, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Oriya.
