Carat has taken on board Dinesh Gopal Kithany as Strategic Resource Director, and he will be based in Mumbai. He is moving from OMD, Jeddah, where, as Research Manager, he was looking after the Saudi Arabian and other Gulf Cooperative Council (GCC) markets.
Charles Jenarius, Group CEO, Carat India, told exchange4media, “Kithany will be involved with implementation and development of tools and processes for brand communication strategy. Carat has a unique process called ‘Carat Sphere’ that we use in communication planning. It transcends the entire planning and buying process. He will report to me directly but will be part of the core team headed by Narayan Murthy, our Regional Director for Strategic Resources.”
Kithany, who will be joining Carat from October 22, has about ten years’ experience in media research. At OMD, he was engaged in setting up a knowledge-based research cell to enhance expertise across all media, and looking after OMD’s proprietary CTV (continuous TV measurement survey).
Prior to OMD, he was with NFO Worldgroup (now TNS Worldwide), Mumbai, as Head of Research of the Indian Readership Survey (IRS) Division. Before that Kithany was with Initiative Media, the media arm of Lowe, where he was involved customizing planning, buying and research tools. He was also with IMRB from 1995-2000.
