Dentsu India has roped in Sai Nagesh as Chief Growth Officer for Dentsu Media. Working closely with Ruchira Raina, Managing Director, Dentsu Communications and Dentsu Media, Nagesh’s mandate would be to steer Dentsu India’s media business forward, both organically and inorganically.
Nagesh joins Dentsu from INX Media, where he was part of the team that steered 9X to No. 3 position in the GEC space within a span of 21 weeks from launch. Prior to INX, Nagesh was with Insight (a part of Lintas Media Group) as Executive Vice President, managing brands such as Bajaj Auto, Idea Cellular, and UTI Mutual Fund, among many others.
Welcoming him to Dentsu, Ruchira Raina said, “Dentsu Media manages our group-wide media buying while being custodians to Dentsu’s global proprietary tools and knowledge databases. With over 23 years in the business of media planning and buying, Nagesh has a roster of experience that includes assignments at Lintas, Mudra, Ulka, MAA Bozell and Contract. He was also part of the management team that set up WPP Marketing Communications (now GroupM) in India.
An Electronic Instrumentation Graduate from Bombay University, Nagesh continues his tryst with academics by tutoring bright young minds across more than 20 management institutes in India, where he is a guest faculty.
