Deepak Sandhu appointed new Director General (News) of AIR

Deepak Sandhu, Press Registrar, RNI (Registrar of News Papers) has been appointed Director General (News), News Service Division of All India Radio (AIR). This top post was lying vacant since March last year, following the retirement of then DG (News) AIR, BI Saini. He was later retained as Consultant for sometime.

MS Sandhu has been appointed as DG (News) AIR following her promotion to the selection grade of the SAG officers of the Indian Information Service. She will hold additional charge of Additional Press Information Officer, Press Information Bureau (PIB).

Meanwhile, TG Nallamuthu, Additional PIO, PIB, Chennai, who has been posted as DG, Directorate of Field Publicity, will be holding the additional charge of Press Registrar, RNI.

In another top-level media reshuffle, Shipra Biswas, Additional PIO, PIB has been posted as DG, Directorate of Visual Publicity (DAVP), replacing Swagat Ghosh who has been shifted to PIB as Additional PIO.
