Debraj Tripathy joins OnMobile as Head of Mobile Marketing

Debraj Tripathy, who had quit as CEO of Sieger Solutions, the ad sales arm of Deccan Chronicle, has joined OnMobile as Head of Mobile Marketing. OnMobile is a mobile VAS (Value Added Service) company.

Confirming the appointment, Arvind Rao, CEO and Founder of OnMobile, said, “Tripathy’s appointment is part of our strategy to induct best people from the industry, and his role will be to further build up the team.”

Prior to Sieger Solutions, Tripathy was General Manager at Maxus Delhi. An old WPP hand, he had spent close to 12 years with the Group. In 1994, Tripathy joined O&M Bangalore, where he handled brands such as Brooke Bond and IBM. In 1997, he moved to O&M Mumbai, where he worked on HLL, Cadbury’s, and Asian Paints, among others. Subsequently, he returned to Bangalore to head Fulcrum in 2002, when Mindshare was formed.
