DDB Mudra West appoints Sharat Kuttikat as Creative Director

Sharat Kuttikat has joined DDB Mudra West as Creative Director. He will be based out of Ahmedabad. Jayesh Vaghela, who has been with the agency for a number of years, will partner Kuttikat and oversee the creative side of the agency’s client roster, including Arvind, Zydus Wellness, Symphony, Nirlife and Rotomac, among others. Both Kuttikat and Vaghela will work under the guidance of Sonal Dabral, Chairman & CCO, DDB Mudra Group.

This is Kuttikat’s second stint with DDB Mudra; he had earlier spent a year with Mudra Communications, Kochi in 2002-03.

Kuttikat joins DDB Mudra West from Stark Communications, Bangalore. In the 12 years that he has spent in the creative field, Kuttikat has worked on some well-known brands such as Vodafone, SAP, Karnataka Tourism, Bangalore International Airport, Lee Jeans, Basics Life, Wipro Technologies, The Federal Bank, Malayala Manorama Classifieds, and Rohan Builders, among others. He has earlier worked with agencies such as Ogilvy and Happy Creative Services in Bangalore, and Frank Simoes in Delhi.

Commenting on the development, Sonal Dabral said, “Our Ahmedabad office is a very important part of the DDB Mudra Group, and it needed a team not only rooted and conversant in traditional thinking, but also fully adept at new media and new age creativity. Sharat and Jayesh are just that team.”

On joining DDB Mudra West, Kuttikat said, “To be operating from an office where it all began for Mudra is special. The ambition is to partner with brands and drive them to greater glory, while staying true to the amazing culture DDB Mudra has.”
