CyberMedia's Baburajan K to launch online magazine

Baburajan K, who has resigned as the Executive Editor of Voice&Data, a CyberMedia India publication, is planning to launch an online B2B telecom magazine shortly.

Baburajan has spent four years with Voice&Data, where his main achievements include strengthening the magazine’s online presence and events properties.

According to sources close to Baburajan, the proposed online B2B telecom magazine would primarily focus on technology content and would position as the interactive magazine for the telecom industry. It will cover emerging markets like Brazil, China, Africa and the Middle East in phases. “India does not have many quality telecom magazines. An online magazine will ensure interactivity and reach. With the launch of 3G and BWA services, there will be more demand for online content in coming months,” said a source close to Baburajan.

When contacted, Baburajan said, “I am serving notice period at CyberMedia, one of the greatest organisations I worked with. I am planning to start my own online media company shortly. However, I am not in a position to share any details yet.”

Baburajan has had several opportunities to moderate/ speak at well established ICT events in India and abroad. He was a speaker at Frost & Sullivan’s NGN event in Singapore and LIRNEasia’s mobile VAS event in Pakistan. He was also on the jury of Aegis School of Business and Telecommunications’ Graham Bell Awards.

Prior to Voice&Data, he had worked with Business Standard and Financial Express as ICT journalist. His PR stint includes Madison Public Relations and Vaishnavi Corporate Communications, where he held senior positions. He has more than 17 years’ experience in journalism, PR and marketing.
