ConnecTurf ropes in Anurag Gupta as EVP and Director

ConnecTurf is beefing up its management. After a slew of appointments recently, the latest addition is that of Anurag Gupta, who joins the agency as Executive Vice-President and Director. Gupta will be working with V Ramani, CEO, MediaTurf.

An official communiqué stated, “Gupta’s mandate with Connecturf is to set up the Northern operations of the company and take the business to the next level by aggressively foraying into newer areas like search marketing, mobile marketing, retail advertising and affiliate programmes.”

Prior to joining Connecturf, Gupta had a four-year stint with Indiatimes.com. He was instrumental in successfully building and scaling up the ‘subscriptions’ business of Indiatimes.com from scratch to a level where it had more than 70,000 paid users across more than a dozen unique products and offerings.

Gupta, an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, has 17 years’ experience, which has seen him working in diverse industries – FMCG, office automation, stock broking, space selling and the Internet. He has handled a wide spectrum of functions – sales, business development, marketing communication, operations management, logistics and sales sdministration. He has also been affiliated with the start-up of a retail stock broking organisation that he successfully built and scaled up to attain profitability in record time.
