CK Venkataraman to take over as COO, Tanishq

The Jewellery Division of Titan Industries, represented in the marketplace by the brand Tanishq, is set to see a transition at the top management level with the transfer of the COO Harish Bhat to Tata Teleservices Limited as President, Marketing with effect from January 17. CK Venkataraman, who is presently the Head of Titan SBU of the Company's Time Products Division, would be taking over from him as the COO.

Venkataraman, a post-graduate from IIM Ahmedabad, joined the company in 1990 as Ad Manager and progressed to the level of Divisional Manager in 1997, General Manager-Marketing in 2000 and was the Business Head-Titan Brand in 2003.

He has been a key contributor to the success of brand Titan, skillfully steering it through very challenging times as the Indian market opened itself up to global watch brands.
