US-based CineMaya Media Group has promoted Rajiv Mishra as Senior Vice President for the entire group. Earlier, Mishra was Business Head of Broadcast Media and was engaged in launching the Group’s TV channels across North America and Canada. Besides being solely responsible for the Broadcast Media vertical, Mishra will also support Chairman Sunil Hali and President Nayan Padrai for all other verticals of the CineMaya Group.
Mishra has over 19 years’ experience in the fields of media, entertainment and telco. Some of his earlier assignments include a stint with BAG Films as COO, Yes TV as Executive Director and CEO, Reliance Infocomm as General Manager, and Star TV as Senior Manager-Programming. He began his career in media as a sub-editor with Hindustan Times.
Established in 2000 as a vertically integrated company, CineMaya Media Group has since grown into a mini-conglomerate in the media landscape through its businesses in publication, broadcast television, radio, film and television production, events, and advertising.
CineMaya publishes The Indian Express-North American edition (three regional editions in the US and a Canadian edition), Divya Bhaskar, Sher-e-Punjab, Tamil Times and Telugu Times (US and Canadian editions). CineMaya also publishes Buy India Properties magazine for NRIs and PIOs.
India Now is the 24x7 TV channel of the group on DirecTV of USA. Dhoom FM, 89.3 and 100.7 FM radio network at New Jersey is the FM radio network of the group.
CineMaya is also organising a series of Indian Properties Expo at New York, New Jersey, Houston, San Jose and Los Angeles between November 8 and 16 this year.
