Cavendish appoints Suhel Seth as first non-British independent Director on its Board

Suhel Seth, Managing Partner, Counselage, has been appointed as Director on the Board of Cavendish Plc, the biggest niche publication company in the UK. He becomes the first non-British independent Director on the main of Board of the organisation.

Cavendish’s core media products are a series of technology, travel and business publications. All magazines are BPA audited and distributed to paying subscribers or to a controlled and audited circulation. The company also arranges meetings and events for subscribers, readers, partners and advertising clients. Cavendish’s media and meetings products are delivered in more than 25 countries.

Speaking on the development, Seth said, “It’s a tremendous recognition that India is not just an important market, but Indians are being seen as people who add value to the global community. It is an indication of that more than anything else. I would say that I seriously feel that this is just the beginning. It brings you closer to the echelons of the British corporate world. You are able to get greater exposure. I am very excited and honoured.”

On being asked about the organisation’s India plans, Seth said, “Cavendish is very clear about the sectors that they are looking at. They use their capacities in the UK and in China market and there is a great advantage for India as well.”

Meanwhile, Cavendish has planned several events, starting with the first Chinese CEOs’ conference in the UK from April 2, where Seth is one of the speakers.
