Cajetan Vaz, National Creative Director at Everest Brand Solutions, has moved on from the agency. Vaz will be with the advertising agency until the end of this month. He had joined the agency on March 1, 2006, prior to which he was with Lowe, Colombo. Even as Vas divulged that destination next for him would be to do something on his own, he refused to disclose his future plans.
“There is nothing I have to say. I have resigned as the NCD at Everest and will be working here until the end of May. I will be out of Mumbai working on my own. I do plan to announce my plans at a later stage, when I am ready to start off,” said Vaz.
D Rajappa, President, Everest, said, “He is moving on and we wish him success. He was a great colleague and we’ve known each other for long. He is planning to start off something on his own and I wish him luck.”
On whether the agency is looking to replace Vaz, Rajappa said, “We have a very strong creative team right now and there really is no need to look for an external replacement just yet.”
At Lowe Colombo, Vaz was Executive Director in charge of strategic planning and training, apart from the creative portfolio. In a career spanning 19 years, he has worked in Everest, Lowe, Rediffusion and JWT. At Everest, Vaz was also a senior member of the Management Committee.
