Bennett, Coleman & Company Ltd (BCCL) has elevated three of its Deputy Directors – Sujoy Ghosh, Debashish Ghosh and Ranjeet Kate – to Directors. Ravi Dhariwal, CEO – Publishing, BCCL, has confirmed the development. He, however, refrained from disclosing further information.
While Sujoy Ghosh and Debashish Ghosh would continue to report to Bhaskar Das, Executive President of Response Department, and Kate will continue reporting to Dhariwal.
With this re-designation, Sujoy Ghosh becomes part of the core group and think tank of BCCL’s Response Department. He has 23 years’ experience, of which he has spent 16 years with BCCL. He has held the post of Deputy Director at BCCL for the last two years.
As Deputy Director, Kate had been handling Maharashtra Times and Navbharat Times. With this re-designation, he is now in-charge of all language publications of the Times Group across the country, involving editorial, ad sales and marketing. He has been with the Times Group for the last six years. Prior to joining the Group, Kate had spent 14 years in sales and marketing in companies like Asian Paints, ITC and Marico.
As a Director, Debashish Ghosh will now look after revenue and sales for Eastern region. He also heads corporate functions, alliance and operation, new media and technology. He has 18 years’ experience, of which he has spent a total of 16 and a half years with the Times Group. He began his career with Times Group. He then moved to Africa, where he spent the next four and a half years. In his second stint with the Times Group, Ghosh has spent 12 years.
