BBDO India makes senior appointments in Mumbai

BBDO India is adding to its Mumbai team. The agency has made a key appointment in Shefali Kothari, who comes as Associate Vice President. In her new role, she would report to BBDO India CEO, Ajai Jhala.

Kothari would be working on the Johnson & Johnson and BlackBerry business as Business Director. In addition to this, she would also be leading new business development in Mumbai as New Business Director. Given the agency’s growth in the last few years, Kothari has also been given the charge of building the BBDO brand in Mumbai.

Kothari brings 11 years of experience in the domain. While she comes from JWT Paris, where she worked as International Account Director on Rolex, BBDO India marks her return to the BBDO Network. Prior to JWT, she has worked at CLM BBDO in Paris and BBDO Europe in London.

As is known, BBDO India handles Nicorette and projects on the baby care business from J&J.

Another senior appointment is in the creative team. Ravi Shankar has been appointed as Associate Creative Director. He would be working on brands such as Gillette -- India and Region, DHL and BlackBerry. Shankar would report to Rajdeepak Das, ECD, BBDO Mumbai.

He comes from McCann Worldgroup, where he was Creative Team Leader at McCann Erickson Mumbai.
