Basant Rathore quits Madison, to join Dainik Jagran as GM, Brand Development

Basant Rathore, who was Associate Media Director, Madison Delhi, is joining Dainik Jagran as GM, Brand Development (Communications and Research). He will be reporting to Shailesh Gupta, Director Jagran. Confirming the news to exchange4media, Gupta said Rathore would be joining the team from September 18 and “he would be an asset to the brand development team”.

Rathore has an experience of over eight years in the industry. He is an alumni of Mudra Institute of Communications Ahmedabad (MICA). He joined O&M in 1996 where he handled major accounts like Reliance Textiles and Dhara among others. Thereafter, he moved to Mudra Communications and from there to Mindshare for a brief period, before shifting back to Mudra. From Mudra he moved to Madison where he was handling major accounts like Hyundai and Airtel. He is also a visiting faculty at MICA.
