The Advertising Club, Bangalore recently held its annual general meeting, following which it elected its new office bearers. P R Satheesh, COO, Tag Media Network, was elected President of the Club, Malavika Harita, EVP, Saatchi Direct, was made Vice-President. Jay Menon, Regional Head, Express Publications ( Madurai) Ltd, took charge as Secretary, while Mythili Nirvaan, CEO, Prachar Communications, was elected the Treasurer.
The other committee members include Paradigm Media’s Arvind Kumar (a two-time past president of the Club); Head-Brands, Sanyo BPL, Rajiv Rastogi (the immediate past president); Madison’s Prithvi Sengupta.
Meanwhile, the Club has drawn up a list of events for 2008, starting with the 27th Ayaz Peerbhoy Memorial Lecture to be delivered by C K Ranganathan, CMD, CavinKare, on January 31. The Ayaz Peerbhoy Memorial Lecture is one of the oldest events of the Club.
Speaking about his immediate priorities, newly-elected Club President Satheesh said, “With 750-odd members, the Bangalore Ad Club is one of the biggest ad clubs in the country. Our immediate priority is to try and make the Club far more interactive by brining greater interaction among the Club members. Big Bang 2007, Bangalore Ad Club’s annual award property, was a great success and we are expecting the same level of enthusiasm and response for Big Bang 2008 as well.”
