Balaji Telefilms ropes in Nachiket Pantvaidya as CEO

After a stint of one and a half years at BBC Worldwide, Nachiket Pantvaidya has decided to call it a day at the organisation. Pantvaidya is believed to be headed to Balaji Telefilms as its CEO. Industry sources inform that Pantvaidya is already meeting with the various companies that Balaji is creating content for, but would completely move to the company later this month.

Pantvaidya had joined BBC Worldwide’s BBC Global Channels business as General Manager, South Asia, in July 11, 2007. He was responsible for leading BBC Global Channels team in the region and managing the growth strategy for BBC-branded channels.

Neither Pantvaidya nor Balaji officials could be contacted at the time of filing the report.

Pantvaidya had earlier spent three years as Executive Director, Programming and Production, for India’s Disney Channels, where he managed the localisation of the Disney brands.
