Asianet News appoints HS Balram as Director

Distinguished senior journalist HS Balram has joined Asianet News Pvt Ltd as Director, where he will also be looking after Suvarna News.

Balram’s career spans over 38 years in top media houses. He worked for The Indian Express in Delhi and Bangalore for 20 years, growing from the rank of a Sub-Editor to Resident Editor. He then worked for The Times of India as Resident Editor of its Bangalore edition for more than 15 years.

Speaking on his new role, in a prepared statement, Balram said, “I look forward to this assignment. Working with Asianet News will be a challenge that I am delighted to take.”

The group released the Little Hearts online-only campaign, #BreakSomeHearts, early this year and is on the path to make many more of its brands available on the digital platform
