Ashish Chakravorty takes over as Business Head of ETC Music

Ashish Chakravorty has taken over as Business Head, ETC, with immediate effect. The position was left vacant following Vikas Gupta’s exit from the channel a few months back.

Commenting on this move, Chakravorty said, “I hope to gain a better synergy of ETC with the industry through my experience in the music and film industry. I am looking forward to a productive experience at the channel.”

Jagjit Singh Kohli, Director, ETC Networks Ltd, said, “Ashish brings with him his understanding of Bollywood and the music industry, which are the core strengths of ETC. We are sure that he will be able to further enhance and strengthen its positioning.”

Chakravorty brings with him better integration of ETC Music with the parent company, Zee Telefilms Ltd. He has been associated with Zee Group for the past six years. He was heading Zee Records for four years and thereafter moved over to head the Syndication Sales and Film Acquisition division of Zee.

Chakravorty had begun his career with Percept and then had a six-year stint with Lintas. He had also indulged in entrepreneurship for a short while before moving on to work with Zee.
