Ashish Bhasin elevated to Asia Regional Director-Integrated Marketing and EVP of Lowe Worldwide

Ashish Bhasin, Director, Lintas Integrated Marketing Action Group (IMAG), has been elevated to EVP and Asia Regional Director-Integrated Marketing, Lowe Worldwide. He will continue to be based in Mumbai, and his new position would be effective from January 2008. As in known, IPG has fully integrated Lintas India into the Lowe Worldwide network, and this is one of the first developments that are expected in the structure, following this integration.

A Lowe Worldwide spokesperson informed that with this change, Bhasin would be in charge of integrated marketing across the Asian region, and also act as a general adviser and leader in his role as EVP at Lowe Worldwide. The spokesperson further divulged that Bhasin is now an integral member of the Lowe Worldwide management team, and reports to Stephen Gatfield, CEO of Lowe Worldwide, and EVP of IPG, as do all the other EVPs of Lowe Worldwide.

In a prepared statement, Gatfield said, “This assignment builds on Ashish’s broad experience across the marketing spectrum. We are lucky to have such a talented executive to take us to the next level in a dynamic region. The promotion is doubly important because it reflects the central role of Lintas India, and its key talent in building our operations at Lowe and IPG in India and across Asia.”

At Lintas IMAG, Bhasin oversees eight specialised companies – Linterland for rural marketing, Lintas Personal for CRM and direct marketing, LINOpinion for public relations, Advent for events, Lintertainment for entertainment marketing, Lintas Healthcare for healthcare marketing, dCell for strategic design, and Aaren Initiative for out-of-home.

Lintas IMAG had seen a change earlier this week as well, when the unit decided to expand its Executive Council.

Bhasin has nearly 20 years of experience in advertising. His stints include handling the HUL account in seven Asian countries, managing operations in various Lintas India offices, and running the show as President at Initiative Media.
