Ashish Bhasin appointed Director at Posterscope Asia Pacific

Patrick Stahle, CEO, Aegis Media Asia Pacific, on September 15 announced the appointment of Ashish Bhasin as Director of Posterscope Asia Pacific. This role is in addition to Bhasin’s current position as Chairman India and CEO of Aegis Media South East Asia.

The key areas of focus for Bhasin with Posterscope in the region will be to identify and set up opportunities to launch Posterscope across other countries within Asia Pacific, enhancing the out-of-home capabilities and encouraging centres of excellence.

Bhasin had joined Aegis Media in June 2008, and since then has reinvented his region, launching new services and divisions and has substantially grown the businesses.

Stahle commented, “Bhasin very quickly proved to us that he had the right balance of discipline and vision to further enhance the South East Asia region under his leadership. The launch of Posterscope India last year is just one example highlighting this.”

On the new role, Bhasin said, “This is a great opportunity and I am looking forward to highlighting the strength of Posterscope in Asia Pacific and ensuring that our clients continue to get the absolute best from our out-of-home offering.”

Posterscope, one of the world’s leading out-of-home communications agency is now in 12 cities across India and has picked up 34 new clients. The out-of-home medium is said to be growing rapidly, fuelled by innovation, consumer behaviour and advertisers’ needs.

Before joining Aegis Media, Bhasin’s career included 20 years with Lintas India, having joined them after his B.Sc (Hons) & MMS (Marketing). He serviced the Unilever business for eight years, before moving on to successfully head Lintas’ Chennai office.

On returning to Mubai, he took over as President, Initiative Media India, which is said to have grown several folds in the five years under his leadership. Bhasin moved on as Director-Integrated Marketing Action Group, forming India’s most comprehensive integrated marketing business. His responsibilities included Lintas Personal (Direct & Digital) Linterland (Rural), LinOpinion (PR), Advent (Events), Lintertainment (Entertainment), Lintas Healthcare & dCell (Design).

In 2008, Bhasin moved on to take charge as Chairman India & CEO South East Asia for Aegis Media, which includes Carat, Posterscope, Isobar and Vizeum. His remit includes Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and South Asia, and he is a member of the Aegis Media Asia Pacific Executive Council.
