Aparna Bhosle elevated as Director-Programming and Production, Walt Disney India

Aparna Bhosle has been appointed as Director-Programming and Production, Walt Disney Television International (India). She will now spearhead the production and programming for The Walt Disney bouquet of channels -- Disney Channel, Jetix and Hungama TV. Prior to leading the entire bouquet of channels for WDTVI, Bhosle was leading the production and programming function for Hungama TV.

At the time of filing the story, no Disney officials were available for comments. Talking about her experience and responsibilities with the new position, an official communiqué stated that as a part of the leadership team at Disney India, Bhosle would provide a creative vision and strategy for Disney’s television business in the country. “She shoulders the responsibility to deliver compelling and relevant content to the audience below the age of 15 through Disney’s channels in India,” said the communiqué.

Bhosle brings a diverse industry exposure of over 10 years. Prior to heading Hungama TV as VP-Production and Programming, Bhosle was Group Product Manager (India Hub) at United Distillers and Vintners. She has also earlier worked with Quintus as Director-Marketing and Sales.
