Anupama Chopra, who took over as Vice-president, Rediffusion PR, in June 2005, has put in her papers. Her next assignment will be to head corporate communications for a company ‘in the real estate space’.
This follows her 10-year stint with Rediffusion PR in various capacities, the last of which was as the head of the agency, nationally.
Speaking to exchange4media, Chopra confirmed the move, saying, “The last 10 years have been full of challenges and excitement, and it has also been a journey of growth and learning for me. The last two years have been the most eventful in my career.”
In the last one year, Rediffusion PR won several accounts, including Oracle, Intercontinental ‘The Grand’, Siemens (networking), JK Tyres, ‘W’, PVR Cinemas, Central Park, Tegic (AOL), and Cartoon Network Enterprises.
On Chopra’s exit and the agency’s choice of her successor, Arun Nanda, Chairman and Managing Director, Rediffusion DYR Brand Communications, said, “She has been a very valuable asset, a very committed professional and a very conscientious person. We wish her well and will always be her friends. We are in the process of finalising a successor and will announce that shortly.”
Chopra joined the agency in 1995 as Senior Account Executive, moving from Mudra’s PR division, and has handled various businesses from the Bharti group since her early days at Rediffusion PR. She was elevated to Associate Vice President in January 2004.
