Anjali Nayar dons the role of CEO at M&C Saatchi

Anjali Nayar, Branch Head, Delhi and Client Servicing Director at M&C Saatchi, has been elevated to Chief Executive Officer, M&C Saatchi India. The development comes post Kamal Oberoi’s exit in September as the India Chairman and Managing Director. Nayar would directly report to Chris Jaques, Chief Executive Officer, M&C Saatchi Asia, who is also the acting Chairman and MD for M&C Saatchi India until a replacement for Oberoi is made.

Though no official comments could be obtained at the time of filing this report, sources close to the development have confirmed the news to exchange4media, and it is learnt that Nayar has already assumed the new role in the last few days.

Nayar comes with over 20 years of experience in the direct marketing business, starting with a six-year stint at Lintas in their DM division – Market Links, followed by five years with Bates 141 Worldwide and eight years with RMG Connect, the Relationship Marketing Division of JWT. Her experience encompasses tobacco, liquor, banking, retail, pharmaceuticals, and so on. Nayar had partnered with HSBC to launch the first ever direct sales initiative in the banking industry and took the programme to five other cities across India. She was also a key member of the team that helped Berger Paints conceptualise, plan and execute their Home Décor Service in four cities. After heading the Kolkata branch for RMG, Nayar moved to head the Delhi office as VP and Branch Manager.

 

Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
