Aniruddha Banerjee quits as Chairman of Publicis Ambience

Aniruddha Banerjee has put in his papers at Publicis Ambience as Chairman. Nakul Chopra, CEO-South Asia, Publicis, has confirmed the movement.

Chopra further said that he would now directly take charge of Banerjee’s role. In conversation with exchange4media, he affirmed, “This is not a stop-gap arrangement. I will be working in this role until we have achieved certain targets that we have set for ourselves.”

It may be noted that in January 2010, Banerjee was elevated as Chairman, Publicis Ambience. Prior to this elevation, he was President and COO, Publicis Ambience. He had joined the agency in March 2007.

Prior to Ambience, Banerjee was with Mudra. He has a career span of over 21 years in the advertising industry. Banerjee had started his career with Contract, from where he moved to Clarion (now Bates 141), where he spent eight years. He had also worked for six years at Leo Burnett, quitting the agency as Executive Director. In 2004, he moved to Everest Brand Solutions as COO. He was associated with the organisation for two years before joining Mudra.
