Amitesh Rao is new Rediffusion DY&R National Business Head; to handle Airtel account

Amitesh Rao has joined Rediffusion DY&R as the National Business Head and will handle the Airtel account. He is slated to join the organisation on May 13. His appointment is Rediffusion’s effort in adding focus, augmenting strategic leaderships and driving national synergies specially, for the Airtel account.

Rao will be overseeing the business nationally, and his focus will be in ensuring strategic direction, and partnering with the client to achieve and exceed business goals.

Ramesh Srivats, Executive VP, Rediffusion DY&R Delhi, said, “Amitesh brings with him a great mix of experience and energy. His strategic and leadership skills will go a long way to enhance our engagement with Airtel, and in driving our agency into thought leadership -- be it creative, strategy or activation.”

Prior to this appointment, Rao was with JWT Delhi, where he handled the Pepsi account. Rao said, “I am very excited and am looking forward to work on this gigantic account. The thrill to me comes from the challenge of working on an account not only with such a huge stature, but also with immense possibilities in the future.”

Mahesh Chauhan, President, Rediffusion DY&R, said, “We recognised the need for quality talent on an account like Airtel.
