Ambika Sharma quits Jagran Solutions as COO

After a six-year stint, Ambika Sharma, COO, Jagran Solutions, has put in her papers. She is yet to decide on her next destination and the reasons for her quitting are not known yet. Sharma had joined Jagran in April 2005 as National Head and moved up the ladder to become COO of the company last year.

Confirming the news in an informal communiqué, Sharma said, “Jagran is a lovely place and they will continue to grow from strength to strength.”

Sharma had started Jagran Prakashan’s activation and below the line marketing solutions company Jagran Solutions. At the helm of Jagran Solutions, she was instrumental in making the company one of the leading activations agency in the country, known for its integrated planning in brand activation and consumer connect strategies with new media solutions. Under her leadership, Jagran Solutions garnered many national and international awards, including 29 international recognitions with the Promotional Marketing Awards of Asia, two national awards with the AIPA, and nine awards at the WOW Awards in India. In the year 2009, Jagran Solutions was recognised as the “Best in India” by the PMAA 09. Jagran Solutions was recognised on a global platform with two recognitions at the MAA Globes in 2009.

A thorough bred marketing professional with an experience of over 15 years in the new age marketing and brand activation space, Sharma has been conferred with the ‘Star Youth Achiever Award’ by the 2nd Global Youth Marketing Forum 2010. She also serves as the Zonal Director for Promotional Marketing Awards in India since 2009. Sharma had worked with Encompass and Candid Marketing before joining Jagran Solutions.
